Beijing Backs the Kremlin

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy said that if China were to ally itself with Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine it would mark the start of World War III.

“Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy has threatened that if China allies with Russia against his nation, there will be World War III.

Zelenskyy made the comments during an interview with German newspaper Die Welt on Monday.

‘For us, it is important that China does not support the Russian Federation in this war’, the Ukrainian president said. ‘In fact, I would like it to be on our side. At the moment, however, I don’t think it’s possible’.

Zelenskyy said that he hopes China will make a ‘pragmatic assessment’ of what is happening to avoid additional conflict.

‘Because if China allies itself with Russia, there will be a world war, and I do think that China is aware of that’, Zelenskyy threatened.

Zelenskyy’s threat came one day after U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken appeared on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ and said that the U.S. was ‘very concerned that China’s considering providing lethal support to Russia’. He warned China that such a move would have ‘serious consequences in our relationship’.

Regardless of Zelenskyy’s threats, China won’t hesitate to provide “lethal support to Russia” because it’s in their interest.

Not only is China already allied with Russia, but World War III began for all intents and purposes in February of 2022 with the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine.

While it had been the announced intentions of the wildly ambitious neoconservatives in the U.S. State Department to go to war with China just as soon as they finished off with Russia, whether the U.S. military can defeat both the Russians and the Chinese before they lose their influence over the United States is of great uncertainty.
