On “International Women’s Day”, we are reminded, yet again, by the corporate powers that be that the primary indicator for societal progress is having more women devote their youth to the labor force and postpone childbirth until long after the ideal biological window has passed.
“Happy International Women’s Day! The global theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity, which is part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness around ‘Why equal opportunities are no longer enough’.
Today is a time to highlight achievements made by women, but also an opportunity to become better informed and collaborate and brainstorm about the path forward.
‘People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action'. -International Women's Day 2023 Missions
Consider taking a few minutes today to learn about pervasive challenges affecting women, including in the workplace. Since unconscious bias is a major driver of hurdles holding women back, it is beneficial for people of all gender identities to educate ourselves about the varied experiences of others”. -Andie Goodwin and Angela Huang, Cloudflare
Let’s contemplate precisely what this so-called “progress” has entailed in the material sense, shall we?
The doubling of the female workforce has suppressed wages and created a vicious cycle where married women who would otherwise stay home and raise a family are forced into the workplace because their husband’s real wages are far lower than they were before the supposed “strive to equalize” movement.
In addition, young women are now filing for bankruptcy more than their male counterparts, and across countries that have embraced the feminist’s egalitarian mantra, national insolvency is all but inevitable.
Ultimately, any nation that was foolish enough to trade its societal wealth and material freedom for the utopian concept of “gender equality” made a terrible bargain.
Because the systematic failure of sexual equalitarian societies has everything to do with the inescapable consequence of the law of supply and demand as opposed to a cultural resistance to the secular sacred cows of fairness, tolerance, inclusivity, and, above all else, equality.
