Xi Jinping Invited to Kiev

President Zelenskyy has invited Chinese leader Xi Jinping to visit Ukraine following his visit to Russia.

“Ukrainian President Zelenskyy invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit his nation following Xi’s recent visit to Russia, which invaded Ukraine last year. ‘I want to speak with him’, Zelenskyy said in an AP interview, noting that the two leaders haven’t been in contact since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year.

The Ukrainian leader has previously extended Xi invitations, but this latest one comes just days after Xi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russia.

It’s unknown whether Xi will accept Zelenskyy’s offer.

When asked about the invitation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told reporters she had no information to give but did say that the country maintains ‘communication with all parties concerned, including Ukraine’, according to the AP”. -USA Today

The architects of the so-called neoliberal “rules-based order” fear Xi Jinping even more than the Russian president.

What Vladimir Putin describes as the “Second West” is in desperate straits due to the success of the Sino-Russian alliance, which is why Ukraine was used to provoke Russia into war with NATO.

But after ignoring Russia’s concerns about the expansion of NATO towards its borders, and the tactless visits of United States politicians to Taipei, Chairman Xi likely believes that Taiwan is anticipated to be the next proxy war.

With China’s rapid economic and military rise, the more time that goes by, the U.S.-led NATO bloc is less and less able to hold any sort of advantage over the Sino-Russian BRICS alliance should it provoke a conflict either directly or by proxy.

When one considers NATO’s expansion and aggression, as well as the U.S. military’s actions in the South China Sea, it isn’t particularly challenging to understand why the Chinese and most of the rest of the world have taken Russia’s side against the imperial West and their Ukrainian proxies.
