Israel Strikes Town of Ghazieh

Israeli drones conducted two airstrikes in the town of Ghazieh, south of the Lebanese city of Saida, in one of the farthest strikes from the border since the outbreak of the fighting between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah four months ago.

“Israeli officials released footage of forces striking sites inside Lebanon, including two Hezbollah ammunition depots — as the terrorist group vowed to ‘present the enemy with unexpected surprises’.

The clip released by the Israel Defense Forces on Monday shows smoke and debris flying from the two munitions depots near Lebanon’s coastal city of Sidon.

Military officials also said they conducted strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Meiss El Jabal and al-Adisa areas of the Arab country.

Israeli officials have confirmed they struck sites inside Lebanon, including two Hezbollah ammunition depots.

The IDF has said the strikes Monday came in response to the terrorist group launching a drone from Lebanon that landed in Galilee, in northern Israel”. -Melissa Koenig, New York Post

Being the biggest airstrike carried out near a major population center to occur over the course of the cross-border clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, the series of reprisal strikes from both sides has brought events to the cusp of a full-fledged war along the northern Israeli border, similar to the Second Lebanon War back in 2006.
